What does BIOSEAN do with the data?

The Research Hub turns field observations into one structured historical dataset. This helps BIOSEAN keep records consistent, review observations and use the information for monitoring, research, conservation and education.

1. Record at sea

Observers record the species, number of animals, time, position and the relevant field conditions during an expedition.

2. Review & organise

The observations are stored centrally and can be reviewed before they become part of the validated research history.

3. Understand & protect

Validated records make it possible to follow patterns over time and support marine research, conservation and education.
